Department Of English

Department of English is one among the established departments since the inception from 2009. The P.G. course was started from 2012 and M. Phil., Research programme from 2015 and Ph.D., Research programme from 2020. The Department has enhanced and burgeoned, extending its support to Eight other Disciplines. The diverse faculty members of the Department consistently enrich themselves through other academic activities such as conducting seminars, symposiums, conferences, workshops, presenting papers, and publishing articles. The Department invites highly qualified and experienced academicians to enhance students’ knowledge of the contemporary view of society. The current syllabus is set to cater to the students of all the boards. The syllabus is equally balanced with Literature and Language.

The Department extends its inimitable service through its interdisciplinary and creative program. To enhance and hone the students’ creative instinct, the Department often invites distinguished authors who offer intensive workshops each term in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, screenwriting, playwriting, and television writing.

The Department’s Research program provides an immersion experience in which students engage in substantive humanities and arts-based research designed exclusively for the need of the hour of this era.
