Chemistry is one of the fascinating areas of science, and it integrates various fundamental and applied aspects of Physical Science. The Department of Chemistry was established in 2012. The Department has well-equipped laboratories with all the necessary facilities to keep pace with developing research. Master of Science in Chemistry is a two-year degree program designed to offer both theoretical and experimental insights into modern chemistry from 2016. The course is taught within a research-driven framework, going beyond traditional boundaries of physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry. It incorporates practical techniques to prepare the next generation of adaptable, skilled chemists for diverse careers.

The Department’s primary objective is to motivate and mould the students, enabling them to face the competitive world with courage, confidence, and vigour. The Department strives to provide diverse perspectives in Chemistry to achieve academic excellence. The students are encouraged to participate in various conferences, workshops, seminars, and competitions to explore and enrich their talents. Along with scientific learning, we endeavour to strengthen the young minds’ team building and critical thinking skills to be fitter for growing industrial demands.
